IT Data Entry Analyst - HelpAge International - Gaza
Job Vacancies – Gaza Strip - Field Workers-Food security project(Full Time)- HelpAge International IT –Data Entry Analyst(Part time-50%) HelpAge International is a global network of not-for-profit organisations with a vision of a world where older people fulfill their potential to lead active, dignified, healthy and secure lives. HelpAge International started working in the Gaza Strip in February 2009 following the December 2008 – January 2009 conflict. It is providing a developmental capacity building of non-state actors in addition to a humanitarian response for older people including provision of food, psychosocial support, livelihoods support and physical rehabilitation. HelpAge International will continue its care for old people through the project “Promoting food security for vulnerable older women and men (55 years old and over) and their families in Gaza strip, occupied Palestinian territory (oPt)”. HelpAge seeks for an experienced committed professional for a full time post of “IT-Data Entry Analyst Main responsibilities of the position: -Designing and maintaining a computer-based mapping database to adequately store and display information collected by staff members involved in the project. -Develop, design and update data collection formats and mapping according to project needs and requirements. -Enter the collected data from different variables, analyse it and produce reports (in English) accordingly. -Build capacity of the project staff and partner focal point that is responsible for data entry and updating. Duration of the contract: Part time position-50% over 10 months starting as of 1August 2013 till 31 May 2014. Main qualifications -University degree in ICT or any other related field. -Previous work experience in a relevant field especially in mapping and data analysis. -Has experience in house hold visiting, preferably with older people -Professional level in both Arabic & English language skills. -Proficiency in using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information. -Independent determined and motivated. -Excellent skills of communication, time management and conflict resolution -Ability to work under pressure and within a team.
