Salary: From 2’000 US$ to 2’600 US$ depending on experience
PU-AMI is a French non-governmental, not-for-profitorganization working in the field of international solidarity. Since 2002, PU-AMI has implemented humanitarian projects in the occupied Palestinian territoryin several sectors of intervention. From 2012, PU-AMI has oriented the goal of its humanitarian program on protecting livelihoods and securing economic access to food when and where populations are directly exposed to violations of the Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law. Through the abovementioned protection approach, and in the frame of the program “Emergency support of livelihoods for vulnerable households that are exposed to protection threats in the oPt”, PU-AMI has started implementing advocacy activities with a focus on a specific protection threat - settler violence - that the organization has directly witnessed in the areas of implementation of its activities.
As part of this protection project activities, PU-AMI wishes to recruit a researcher to conduct a study about the impact of settlers violence in the west bank through the following process: Literature review, analysis of internally available data and review of legal framework and actions taken. Expected outcome is a final report with recommendations, which will be than used as the base for advocacy purposes. Appliers have to know the context, to have previously worked in the advocacy/protection field, be skilled in research work and be capable of delivering the work in the time available.
